So as the title says I would like some help, Here is a tiny bit of context of the race I made.
The race I am creating are blind humans who call them self the darkened. This little bit is in reference to the Darkening where Humanity in this world had their sight permanently removed from them, and they were forever changed. They don't have the genes for eyes anymore nor the space for them. Their modifiers weren't complete monsters how ever, and gave them some benefits. Enhanced smell and hearing as well as larger ears and the "cleaning up" of facial hair into small whiskers, their sense of touch is also much greater then normal.
Small physical description just so you can visualize them. Their height is average human height with some notable acceptations in the population. Their ears are long but not pointed, more so of like small plates or semi circles that go down to the very bottom of their jaw and go a little past the top of their head, total measured length is about 9.2 inches from end to end for both ears.
I have notes on how they would Identify each other. Two main methods actually being by sound and Taste, Most of the Darkened taste different from individual to individual. Sound is because no two people every really sound alike.
What I would like help with

I would like some ideas for cultures to give them. Like rites and traditions, how else could they know another Darkened? Would they carve their names into their skin for example? Could anyone imagine how their combat would go? I have some ideas on how it would be but most of it is melee range. Any other ideas are much appreciated and I will probably post on this later depending on how it goes.
