So, I'm fairly certain that most people who frequent this reddit are familiar with the terms of "demi-human" or "half-human" and "mixed-blood" or "half-blood" types of deals.
My issue comes into light of not only trying to find a more elegant term to refer to these situations, but what if the area isn't dominated by humans at all? The idea of things being "humanoid" might not even apply as that would assume a human-centric thinking. By most connotations, "half" of anything tends to be seen in a negative light.
I've been looking around the worldbuilding subreddit for a while and I couldn't exactly find this discussion being tackled recently (or at all. Maybe my searching skills just suck...) and was hoping that the wonderful people here could help me out/chime in with their thoughts and ideas/how they've dealt with this.
EDIT: Thinking more upon, I forgot to include/ask people to consider what if more than two race types mingle together. For instance (just as an example) dwarf, elf and human all mixed together with a hint of dragon or something.
