I notice that many worlds are sci fi or fantasy. I'll see a great fantasy story with a huge world of wizards, dragons, mages, fairies and whatever. Then ill see anither story about AI, space travel, different planets, inventions, cyborgs, or maybe genetic mutations. But rarely one world features both. There are a few like Samurai Jack or Star Wars (forget the M word). I could be missing a few but thats why Im here asking.
Like its hard to find magical beings in places where computer technology is higher than our standard modern living. Im more likely to find one world of one genre than a hybrid. Why is that? Im currently trying to build a world with both, but this still intrigues me.
