Hasn't been a prompt since yesterday. So here's one about architecture.
Post Body

Please tell me about your country(ies)' architecture. I've organised some questions for inspiration help.

1. What building materials are used?

  • Are these materials local, or imported?

  • Why are these materials used?

  • Do difference social classes use different materials?

2. What shapes are used? A-frames? Domes? Huts? Flat parapet roofs?

  • Why are these designs used?

3. How fancy is the architecture?

  • Do your people enjoy fancy facades? Or just plain walls?

  • Do different social classes enjoy different levels of detail?

  • Are the interiors as detailed as the exteriors?

  • How many different materials are used in any given building? And why?

4. How many rooms does a house have?

  • 1? 2? 3? Many? What purpose do these rooms serve?

  • Do different social classes have different kinds of rooms?

5. How do public buildings differ from homes/dormitories/wherever your people sleep and live?

  • What about government buildings? Industrial buildings? Royal buildings? Whatever is applicable for your world.

6. Do your buildings have to withstand anything special, such as torrential rain, hurricanes, frequent flooding, dragon attacks, blizzards, barbarian raids, earthquakes, stray laser cannon beams, searing heat?

  • How do they do this? What design implementations are there that help against these factors?

I'll comment in that for my own world if I can find time later today, but I'd like to hear what other people have going for them.
