In my world there is a bird known as a Songstealer. It is found near human settlements and will imitate sentences spoken in human language as if the person itself speaks it. Legends say that Songstealers are actually demonic creatures that use this gift to lure unsuspecting individuals away from the safety of their home. Then they capture the soul of their victim and slowly take over their lives.
