I’m almost 22 and I’ve been lifting since I was 17. I’ve never taken this long of a break from lifting before and I’m scared I’m going to lose everything. I have a mallet fracture in my pinky and got a couple of custom-made splints. I was told I can’t afford to bend my pinky at all for the entirety of the splinting process or I will need to restart from the beginning. I don’t weigh a lot, I’m pretty lean at 5’9 147lbs, and I lose weight quite easily which working out has helped me maintain. Is there anything I can do to avoid losing as much strength as possible? I would do more cardio but as I said earlier I lose weight pretty easily and I know it will make me weaker when I return. It only takes about 2 weeks of not lifting to lose muscle so I have no idea what I’m going to do.
