Started workout 3 months back with a trainer remotely. But I am not sure on my results

I(m, late 20) have started working out around 3 months back. Neven been to gym before and it's good to be around the people.

I am paying a trainer (who is remotely helping me) for my diet/nutrition and exercises. I see results but to get into good shape in this pace it seems I gonna take 3 years may be?

Is that right though process? Or am I aiming too high?

I am overweight and in fat loss journey.
