Imposter syndrome when applying for jobs

Post Body

I’ve sort of started passively looking for a new role. Anytime I find myself ready to do this I get so overwhelmed reading job descriptions and feeling like I just am not good enough for any of these roles.

I am currently in my first director role at a start up. It’s been 14 months and I am pretty burned out so I’ve started passively looking.

I’ve been scrolling for an hour thru jobs on LinkedIn feeling like it’s silly for me to even go for another director role because I don’t qualify for these. But if I don’t land another director level I will probably end up with a huge pay cut. I have to take a break because I am borderline in tears.

I spiral like this every time I start looking for a new role and it makes me feel so pathetic and I don’t know how to overcome it.
