Working at home with my (sick) kids is terrible for my mental health

Post Body

To be clear my kids are in full time daycare or school - on the regular they are not home while I’m working.

My 2 year was unexpectedly sick today. He was up at 5am with a fever and inconsolable. Obviously he couldn’t go to daycare. I work for a start up and we have very limited staff and there is so much pressure on me right now that I didn’t feel comfortable calling in, also, my PTO is pretty much spoken for for the remainder of the year. So my husband also stayed home (worked from home) and we managed my inconsolable toddler while we worked.

I’m just so exhausted. And he’s probably going to be home again tomorrow. I will have probably no choice but to call in as I don’t think I can do this again.
