Company asking me to commute 3 hour drive once a month

My company is small and has an official presence in WA and CA. I recently moved to OR and didn't think I would have to commute in but they realized that they need me to come to the office once a month to remain compliant (they haven't said for how long yet). Does anyone know the amount of time per month I would have to be in that office? I just want to be informed when I'm negotiating.
