Issues with inherited sup orgs

Post Body
We just realized that discrepancies would arise with supervisory org management Chain vs actual management chain (org chart) when a manager got terminated or moved to a different manager but his sup org was not re-assigned or carried over during his termination/movement.
We’ve made some reports to address the mismatched except for the inherited ones since the hierarchy structure is still correct by structure. If we left the inherited ones as they are, will there be any issues?
Thank you.
