Part time web developer in my family’s business. I work daily 7am-11am and squeeze in more work typically in the evening. I attend meetings and meet my deadlines. First white collar job. My boss (my father, who we haven’t had the best relationship with) keeps harassing me any given moment that isn’t work related talk pissed I’m not part time. Telling me I’m taking advantage and just being lazy. I haven’t swapped to part time as I spent my last 4 years bedridden and all my school was online, sprinkle some neurodivergence into that and I’m still trying to adjust, which I was told I can do part time for that. It’s WFH but when i mention about going into the office I’m even jabbed at for not working apparently despite having a time sheet and tickets completed for proof. It’s really exhausting. Is this just me or is this a common thing I should adjust to. Having to live around it even not working is frustrating and making me really hate my job :/
I don't fully understand your post, but if you're working significantly less than 40 hours a week, you're already part time.
Regardless, it sounds like you have a lot of challenges and adversity to overcome. Congrats on getting over being bedridden. If your Dad is being annoying, that sucks, but you don't have a lot of control over him.
I suggest doing everything you can to stay and get healthy, and learning and doing your job as well as possible. Improve your skills and marketability. Down the road you may want to work somewhere else, or even for yourself.
