Made a mistake and it took 1/2 of the day to fix it
Post Body

Hi! I need advice on what to do next. I made a dire mistake, it can be 100% fixed, but I had to first undo the work done prior and re-do everything from that point. So that's 1/2 of my work time which went just into a void. Nobody knows at work. My plan was to stay after hours to compensate, but it doesn't seem like a good idea anymore due to the harm it could cause to the company, and I just don't know what to do... I cannot tell my employer because my literal survival depends on the company impression about me, so if they learn I wasted 1/2 of a day due to my own fault – I'm dead. What should I do?
