Follow up applicant etiquette advice
Post Body

Whattup y'all,

I've been applying for jobs like crazy, and suddenly this week companies have been hitting me up like crazy. I had put it in an application at company B, not really expecting to hear back. Company A hit me up and asked me to interview yesterday. I went there in the morning for the interview, and the manager asked me to come back this upcoming Monday to start work. However, I didn't fill out any paperwork yet.

Company B is the job I actually wanted, so I went ahead and emailed them after my interview, to tell them that I had just been offered the job, but hadn't signed for it yet, and I asked if they could tell me if I'm even in the running at their company. They responded a few hours later, saying that they received tons of resumes (video game industry, I'm sure it was tremendous) and narrowed it down to about 6 candidates, and that I am one of them. They said they would like to expedite an interview for me, given the circumstance and that they would let me know.

Out of consideration for Company A, I wouldn't want to go in Monday morning, fill out a bunch of paperwork for them to process, begin training, etc., and then maybe get offered a job at Company B next week and end up quitting, thus making them start the whole process over again. I already responded to Company B's email yesterday, saying that I am definitely interested in setting up an interview with them. Would it be bad etiquette, as we approach the end of the work week, and because they did say that they are interested in interviewing me, to send one last email to check in before the weekend? Should I say anything to Company A, or just go with the flow until I hear something?

In case it's important for perspective, Company B pays significantly better than Company A, and is also more enjoyable sounding. Company A pays low for their industry, although doesn't seem like a horrible job overall.
