Don’t judge me, I’m overworked and underpaid.
I’m getting major surgery in December and have saved up 3 weeks PTO to take off for recovery. The more I think about it, the more I really don’t want to come back. I have another job lined up. Insurance is also not an issue.
I’ve heard if I take PTO and then don’t come back, they can revoke the PTO? Is there a way around this? What if I come back long enough to give my two weeks on my first day back and then just suck it up and work those weeks?
I realize this is kind of an AH move. But I spent nearly three years saving my PTO up for surgery and I don’t want to lose it (they don’t pay it out if I don’t use it).
