Not actually a question just storytime. I used to work the register at a sit down restaurant, so your server would give you a ticket after your meal, and you'd bring it up to the front (to me) to pay. One day when I was kind of new, I asked a customer if they "found everything alright today?" and they said no. So I kinda just said "Oh I'm sorry too hear that..." and trailed off. It was at that moment that I realized that I had no idea what to do in situations like that. It was very awkward and we just completed the transaction in silence. I didn't even ask him what was wrong lol 😂
