To every single manager who I had in the past,
The ones who made me feel like I was letting the team down by either calling in sick or going home sick,
If you felt like you had to make me feel guilty, or ride me and in some twisted way you felt that was justified and I wasn't entitled to sick days without some form of retribution, I hope you enjoy your Christmas rosters with your skeleton staff and maybe even join the plebs in some real work this season. (Since being understaffed would let down your team).
The rare ones, a few decent managers I had over the many years, who understood family comes first and turning up to work sick helps nobody, then I hope you find a way to enjoy your Christmas without it being marred by the muck that retail work is. If not, Cheers, cause I'll never enjoy it again either. 🍻
If you're still employed by this company I hope you let them know every single day how much THEY are letting the team down by understaffing in the same way they told me I was.
Merry Christmas.
Regards,

God bless our overlords, sects, owners and rulers of this experimental island, the six point star, dollar note commanders and printing machines. Bless, bless them all...
