Built my first woodworking bench
Would love to hear feedback and ideas on what I can do next time or still add. Planning to add a tail vise, just need the time to add it.
I also added t-track on the back edge to attach non-permanent accessories like a tool tray or the cord and hose boom arm you see.
The top is 4 layers of 3/4” MDF for heft and flatness, followed by 3/4 Baltic birch ply attached with screws so it can be replaceable
Dog holes and t-track for hold down support and a wood river quick release vice with leather-lined maple jaws. Wasn’t sure leather wasn’t needed on the jaws but it was a learning opportunity.
The one thing I really screwed up was measuring height. Because the plywood was an afterthought and it ended up making it too tall to be an out feed table for my table saw 🤦
