Furring strips strength for fishtank stand.
Post Body
Hi, I’m planning on building a stand for a 60gallon aquarium which will weigh ~650lbs once fully stocked. Im a huge noob so I’m using the linked YouTube tutorial but the video isn’t clear on wood choices. I found some super cheap boards in Home Depot but I’m worried about their strength. Would Home Depot 1in thick x 4inch wide furring boards be strong enough if used according to the video instructions?
