Need advice for beginner DIY wood projects
Post Body

Hello! So, I wanted to make my own desk this past weekend. I bought some wood screws, 1 inch planks, and some 2x4s. I was super excited to get my project done.

It was a disaster! Mainly because the screw heads kept getting stripped and would not go through the 2x4s at all.

I ended up buying a desk from Walmart because they had a sale.

But I would love to build another project. What am I doing wrong? Do I need a different drill? Nails? Drill bit?

I used an impact driller and a regular power drill.
