Hi guys, I'm currently looking into buying some gouges to add to my toolset. Unfortunately I can't justify buying a full set so I'm trying to decide what would be a good starting point. At the moment I'm looking at some pfeil gouges and I reckon 3 would be as much as I was willing to spend on. Primarily I would be using the gouges for letter carving and, eventually, full body carves on guitars but I want to have enough variation to be able to try my hand at other types of carving.
Do you guys have any recommendations on a good starting point or if there are any other brands in a similar price range that you have good experience with (Trying to stay well under £100)
Cheers
