Dust Collection for an upcoming shop. I'm getting lost in all the available information.
Post Body

I am planning on building a 725 sq ft shop this spring and am trying to figure out what I will need for dust collection. I've read through Bill Pentz's website and I'm left with the idea that not buying the best fine dust collection available is akin to suicide (perhaps a bit of hyperbole there).

I would rather "buy it for life" than buy cheap and ineffective gear multiple times, but I would also like to save money if possible.

The shop will likely only have one machine operating at one time, but will be equipped with some of the worst offenders in terms of dust (jointer, planer, 12" disc sander, etc.)

I'm hoping to get some input from those of you who have set up dust collection systems. What do you wish you knew before you set yours up? What do you have for dust collection and do you like it? Do you run flex hose to each tool and swap it every time you switch tools, or do you have dedicated ducting? Any and all information and insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
