Post Body

Recently had a hurricane and a ton of pine trees in the area fell over and I have a few oak big oak pieces but nothing longer then 2-3ft ....I know you can make table tops out of them but any other ideas?

If I slice them what's a good rough cut thickness? Is there a standard finished thickness?

How do you stop them from cracking as they dry? Someone told me to maybe put rachet straps around them and keep tightening them
