Post Body

I've decided to make my own floating shelves, but I had to buy the whole sheet, so now everything on my house is going to be made out of it. Shelves , desk and a laundry cabinet top.

I'm looking for a finish that keeps the natural, mate look of the plywood, doesn't yellow with time and is easy enough to apply.

From what I've read water based poly seems like a good option, but maybe not as easy to apply. I've also read some people mention a layer of shellac before the water based poly, but I heard it doesn't go well with humidity. So maybe not good for the cabinet.

Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you!
