Post Body

I knew walnut would be my favorite iteration of these, and it really turned out well. I'd love to hear your thoughts. A bit on the work:

18 doweled panels edge joined to make 5 sides and one shelf of 3/4" walnut.

Poplar dowel pins stained walnut and immediately sanded to fade. I think I'll make walnut pins on my next project.

I usually use a dado to cut a groove into the interior sides and back for the shelf, but I got a little worried with a 3/4" shelf, so I opted to screw it into the sides and back and hide with dowels.

Black hairpin legs and a tung oil finish.
