Help with Walking Staff

Post Body

Hello! Not sure if this is the right place but I was just hoping for some advice to care for my walking staff. I've used it for about 15 months now as a part-time mobility aid mostly indoors or in urban spaces, so its completely dried out and everything and I just want to ensure its longevity especially as I'm moving into a new, much wetter area.

What is the most affordable way to seal the wood, and ideally add some colour into the lower half as its started to go pale? What is the best thing I can do for the foot, as its starting to gain a bit of an angle at the base? For the cracks, will they be okay left open, or do I need to fill them with something like resin?

Any help and advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!
