Cheapest wood option for outdoor table? (Function > form)

Post Body

I’ve searched this sub for similar threads but came up empty handed. Please link me to an existing thread if this has been recently discussed / answered in the past.

I want to build an outdoor table / storage structure that’ll live outside (uncovered) which will hold my 22” blackstone griddle and Ooni pizza oven. I don’t care how it looks as long as it’s stable and functional.

I’ll only need it to last 3-5 years before it’ll eventually get replaced. I live in Washington state so has to survive at least in the rain.

It’ll essentially just be 4x4’s for legs and structural support, and then some form of plywood for the table tops / shelves. I’ll be adding some form of flame retardant onto the structure for safety.

Looking for semi cheapest options for wood just to get this project done. Thank you!
