Cut out bug damage - now safe?

Grabbed a log off my firewood pile. Had some bug holes in it.

First I baked it at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Then i cut out all the bug damage, planed and jointed.

Can I assume this board is now good to use?

Is this poplar?
