Planning my woodshop. Couple questions

Post Body

So I have a roughly 12 x 24 feet garage (12 foot ceiling) space that is walled off on all sides. This will be my wood shop. I have a few tools already (planner, mitre, router table, table saw) and plan on eventually buying a 6-8 inch jointer. If I go crazy maybe a drum sander way far into the future. Note that there is a garage door on the bottom wall but the door opens all the way up to thw ceiling (aka the door doesn’t divide the height of the space)

1) I have made a 4-year-old worth sketch up and wondered if anyone had any general recommendations in regards to the planing of the tools. Do’s and dont’s. I want to get a sense of the layout because I’m looking to purchase and install a dust extractor and install pvc piping along the walls and minimize pipe length and curves. (The pipe is the squiggly line along the wall)

2) does this make sense?

3) I’m looking for a cheap yet effective extractor. I’m considering the one in the picture and am wondering if a) this can be wall mounted with the back side down and b) can this be used without a cyclone setup? (I would like to keep the 4 inch tubing and not have to slim down to a 2.5 inch which I assume would decrease sucking power right out the gate..)

Any help and recommendation is appreciated!!

Cheers!
