We are friends with a realtor who was requested by her seller to clean out their old wood shop and wood shed. They just want it all gone with no fuss, so she reached out to us. There is a TON of wood, but none of it is labeled as to what it is. Any help with ID on these 4 cut ends that would be great.
All I know is the older gentleman did a lot of wood crafting stuff, but not much from there. I cut off some ends from these 4 different planks and quickly hand planed them (sorry about the roughness, usually my wife does this stuff). I wiped them all down with a lightly damp towel to remove dust, but I can retake photos as needed. I included a front face, side face, and cut end of each piece. None had a distinct smell other than the third one which was sharp sort of like hamster bedding? It was also super easy to cut through.
