Dust Collection question

Post Body

So Iā€™m finally going to build a dust collection system with cyclone separator and see people often switch out a bag filter for a canister filter for fine dust. I was wondering whether or not this is preferred over porting the exhaust through a wall to the outside? This is in my garage where my furnace is located. Not super concerned about make up air for the furnace as my garage is certainly not air tight (maybe I should be) but not sure what the best method would be. Any advice appreciated
