Furniture design modeling programs

Which furniture design modeling programs for MAC are used the most and which is the easiest to use/learn. I’m an old school autocad user (2d drawing only) and haven’t used any of the newer programs like sketchup and Rino etc. I would like some advice as to know where to begin. Eventually I’d like to incorporate a CNC into my shop and be able to use a program to model and cut out parts as well.
