Storing an unfinished solid butcher block countertop top.
Post Body

Hello all, I live in an apartment in Dallas, TX and will be getting a 6ft Hevea butcher block countertop delivered from Home Depot tomorrow. I am plan to use it as a table top after I stain it and use Polyurethane on it.

My question is, since we are expecting light rainfall this week in my area, how to store the butcher block so that weather outside won't affect it in anyway like bending or moisture in it's surface etc. I will be working on it in my balcony later next week. Till then I am thinking of storing it in my living room area.

I am a techie by profession and this will be my very first woodworking project ever. Any tips on storing it till next week would greatly appreciated.

Thank you J.
