Dvl pipe
Post Body

Iā€™m having a problem with my DVL pipe connecting to a master forge wood stove, I bought a starter section (with a damper) but the crimped part does not fit into the inner hole, and the outer section does not sit snugly either.

I crimped the end of a 12ā€ section and I can get it to go most of the way on, but the screw holes are still slightly visible on the inside. Will this cause issues with smoke getting into the cooling chamber? Could I theoretically just seal the holes with high temp sealant?
