Annoying tech lead (ATL) a couple of months ago: Use this data component for your ticket and don’t modify it

Me: we can’t use it as-is because the data hierarchy is wrong

ATL: you’re wrong but I won’t explain how. Ask someone else to help you. Don’t create another data component we are going to use the same one

Me (2 weeks ago): we can modify the parent component and differentiate the data hierarchies using an attribute we are passing in

ATL: absolutely not. We can’t do it that way

ATL: we will create a second data component and run it conditionally based on the attribute we are passing in so that we have the correct data hierarchy

ATL: also, we will change the hierarchy requirements to match the other hierarchy as an enhancement so that we can use the same components.
