Is Society Still Judging Women Based on Their Relationship Status?
Post Body

Even in 2025, it feels like a woman’s relationship status—single, married, divorced, partnered—is still a topic of endless scrutiny. A close friend of mine recently shared her story that really struck a chord. She’s 37, incredibly successful in her career, and loves her independence. But at a recent family gathering, the only question she kept getting was, “Why aren’t you married yet?” ughhhhh When she tried to explain that she’s happy as she is, she was met with pity and unsolicited advice about “not waiting too long.” really ?? still happens these days !!! ? On the flip side, another woman I know, a 45-year-old who has been married for over two decades, constantly gets asked why she doesn’t have children, as though her marriage isn’t enough without them.
