After only having a club championship for South America, FIBA has expanded it to the entire Americas this year. Four teams played in one group with the other four playing next weekend: https://wbasketballblog.com/2023/09/17/americas-group-a-september-15th-17th/

Now they just have to work on a tournament in Asia-Oceania. A couple of decades ago, FIBA did have the World League for Women with the goal of having club teams from every continent participate in one tournament. The WNBA CBA has long had a provision for an offseason touring team and they did send teams to some of these.
