Okay. So I had this happen quite recently, I'd say I have been doing it since WMMT 3DX , but I only recently got called out on it by some people and it kinda raised some concern on my part. Please go through the story if you have the time and feel free to drop your honest comment at the bottom.

I was standing in the arcade near the terminal whilst doing my daily scratches when I noticed 2 guys who were like making rounds and rounds near the drive units. Some context here is that this place has 4 sets of drive units, 8 lined against the wall and the other 8 is aligned 4 facing the other 4 (in this direction >|<). They were walking around and kept glancing and watching people on the units despite 4 units being totally free. At first, I thought nothing of it, because I also sometimes do this to play against other fully tuned players. But, it was a weekday so getting fully tuned players was a little of a stretch.

I went to the drive units and saw a couple of friends so I started to chat with them about the daily bingo and stuff. I saw one of the guys had sat down and tagged in. I turned my attention back to my friends when suddenly I heard loud laughter and someone "NOOB! Balik rumah la. Taktau main nak lawan I. Blah la. Buang masa I jer!" (Translation : "NOOB! Go home. You do not know how to play but you want to challenge me. Go away. Wasting my time!") This struck a nerve because we have a very strict no bullying rule (verbal, action or digital) in the area because the arcade area shares the same place with the kid's play ground and play area. As one of my friend and I was not playing yet, we went over to have a look. At this time, they had gone on to issuing challenges to everyone in the area. They were shouting so they were drawing a crowd. Their challenge was simple. Anyone can sit down and challenge them, winner stays, loser pays RM5. (Again this is not allowed, and furthermore Malaysia is a Muslim country and it is illegal to gamble in public. They were also practitioners of said religion.)

Personally I have never heard such bullcr*p in my years of playing. So my friend and I went over to watch. This scammer was using a fully tuned Blue R34 and kept asking them to run Wangan. 🤦🏻‍♂️ We watched for awhile and gave them multiple warnings on the matter. But not only did they laugh it off and asked us to put our money where our mouth is. We went to report this to the arcade operator but apparently they cannot do anything. To do with they already tried, that these two were someone important and that these two were very aggressive, started fights and such.

I went to tell the guy who was bullying that I accept his challenge and that if he loses, I want him to return the money he had made illegally. He said deal, but for "pink slips"(?) in addition to that. I concurred and excused myself to the drive unit furthest away from him. (In case you were curious to know where he and I was seated. O ^ ^ X where O is me, ^ is other players, and X is who I will refer to as SB1.) I waited for the game to end, apologise to everyone in the vicinity for cutting the line and sat down. I tagged in and the race was on. I am not going to give a blow by blow here but I blocked him and the game ended me being in the 3rd and he in 4th. 1st and 2nd was taken by the 2 GUEST players that was playing with us.

By the so called deal, I believe it is not a stretch to say he lost on all accounts, be it placing or by rules of the game. So I went up to "claim" my prize, the money being returned to those it was taken from. He said we both lost, so it is a draw and refuses to return it unless I beat him by being in first place. I found this to be a ridiculous notion but entertained it nonetheless. I tagged in for the second time that day after apologizing profusely to the players that were waiting, but was told it was okay because even if they got in now, they wouldn't be having fun with this guy bullying them. Unbeknownst to me, his friend tagged in at the terminal to his left. (So now the orientation is O ^ Y X where O=me, ^=the guy who just won, Y=SB1's friend who I shall name SB2, and X=SB1.) Again, no blow by blow but with all the active blocking and defending against those two, SB2 won first place, I 2nd, GUEST 3rd and SB1 in 4th. He then started to harass and say that his friend won, and by proxy he had won, and I told him no with a laugh, by Wangan's 2x2 rules, it is a draw. He was fuming and I told him that if we were to follow his logic, he lost the first round. Furthermore, he did not say that his friend and him was pairing up and that since he did not say it beforehand therefore it doesn't work that way. He said fine and that this round he and his friend counts as one and stormed back to his drive unit and tagged in.

I knew I had to level the playing field and apparently my friend who was hanging by my terminal at the time got the same idea and tagged in to back me up. (Now orientation is O * Y X, difference is * is my friend.) So the game then ended in the following order Me, SB2, my friend and SB1. So you'd think we already won, but no. He claimed that he was ill informed that I was pairing up with a friend. So best out of 3. Best out of 3 became best out of 5, 7, 9, 15. After losing 8-4 he and his friend lost their tempers and slammed the machines and they went into error. They then moved to the next set and started bullying again, my friends and I moved as well and smashed them every time they did so. We did it until the arcade closed and we did get some complaints that we were hogging machines and also that we were being bullies.

So I want to ask if what I did was really bullying or trying to preserve and defend the community thus indirectly safeguarding the fun GUESTs will have playing this game. Please be honest. I can take it. XD

TLDR : My friends and I are anti GUEST fishing and anti GUEST slaying. Came across a couple of rowdy A**holes that were not only doing that but also scamming the losers off their money. Trashed them with a friend to teach them a lesson and give them a taste of their own medicine. Was called a bully for doing so by some onlookers, others were applauding the efforts. Am I the bully or the A-hole here?
