Hi! I recently started to dabble into hema and swordfighting in general. I been following Scholargladiatora and Skallgrim a while on youtube and I finnaly come to the point where I bought my own "waster". Unfortantly for me, I do not have a lot of money (being a rather poor student) and there is EXTREMELY little stores that caters to anything sword related in my country. However I did get my hands on a Cold steel hand and a half training sword. I started using it, but I'm very surprised on it's weight and handling. Based on the information I read on longswords, basically "anyone" could use a longsword despite size and strength. (i'm not a big man, per say).
So my question is: How "accurate" is the CS training sword to a real one? I've made some google searches which brought me here, and I read that a lot of people don't prefer them to train with?
Currently I'm not gonna spar with anyone, considering I live in a "village" where there isn't a lot of people with my interests, let alone any wma/hema clubs, So I'm just using it to learn the techniques first and foremost.
as a relative small guy (1,74cm and 60kg) is the CS training sword a very bad choice to start with or is it viable untl I get a "proper" sword?
