I think I just decided against surgery

Post Body

Tonight I realized just HOW MUCH I hate having my meals with no beverage. Waiting 30 minutes after is MISERABLE. I absolutely can not fathom doing this for the rest of my life. No alcohol or caffeine? Piece of cake, stopped a month ago and haven’t looked back. But no water with my meals? I just… can’t?

I feel like this is such a terrible reason to back out of surgery, but I just can’t get past it… anyone else have similar concerns? Any advice? I’m so bummed that THIS is the thing that stands between me and surgery.

EDIT: thank you so much for all of the comments- I’ve gotten a lot of great tips and advice that I’m going to try before walking away completely! I realize this probably received a lot of exasperating and eye rolls, but we all have our hang ups, right? I appreciate the constructive feedback and hope to be right back on track (5 months into 6 month pre-op process!)
