These cards claim to be "Magic" but I can't seem to make the damn things work. Do I need to use something to make the spells on them work?

You need to use meditation. Meditate your magical element into the deck you are playing. If it is fire then imbue it with fire magic. If it is water then imbue it with water.

Then after all that you need to put a land card down. And then gather mana to use spells and summon creatures.

Then you can use this magic tonmake the game feel more real with your friends. Or you can use for battle.

Try it with Yugioh too. It has real ancient pharoh magic already imbued in the cards.
