So I would like to hear your opinions about the games! It is something that appears as a topic less often, but I'm currently very thrilled about it and I would keen on reading others experiences and open a discussion with this post.
Anyways, here's my opinion about the game : First and foremost, I loved the concept of the Thronebreaker! It's been a huge thing for me to experience this world from another point of view, and oh my... What it was like, it's amazing! Queen Meve is someone very different from Geralt, and his reputation, duties, morals are on a different scale. And most importantly unlike in many cases for Geralt, Meve's got power in his hands. It was a new, fresh experience for me.
Secondly, I think the CDPR proved once again the they are worthy to Spakowski's legacy. The new characters are just as complex, understandable, unperfect as in any other witcher game or book.
Thirdly, the gameplay and music. The music was not as great as in the third game, but it's still amazing I think it's on the level a the second game's soundtrack. From the gameplay part I would highlight the puzzles, which can be hell of a challenges. The battles can sometimes get repetitive at some points but the story battles are epic with the characters communicating during the fight and sudden unexpected events can happen too.
By the way, the game's beautiful, I liked the art style as well.
My main concerned was that Nilfgaardians are sometimes just enemy whoresons, the bad guys to beat, not as morally grey as we get to know them through other characters like Emyhr or Voorhis.
But all in all, it was a fantastic journey for me, the ending very much depended on me and I'm satisfied with my decision even with the ones that resulted something bad for they gave the flavor of the game!
What do you think about the Thronebreaker?
