SHORT VERSION:

I was hoping someone could help me identify what I believe is a spell. Someone keeps leaving crushed walnuts on my doorstep. Any help understanding why would be appreciated.

LONG VERSION WITH CONTEXT:

Ever since I moved out of the home I shared with my abusive ex, I started noticing piles of crushed walnuts on my doorstep. They were there on the day I moved out of the shared place, then they started appearing at my new place. Every so often, my ex would walk or drive by the house and scream at it at the top of their lungs.

I soon moved to a nearby town and didn't tell anyone where (except a few close friends), but after about four months, the walnuts have started to appear in front of that door, too.

I know my ex and their friends were really into learning about witchcraft. But I'm having trouble using Google to determine the intent.

Are they just trying to get over me, or is it a hex of some sort? If it's a hex, what can I do to dissolve or limit it's power?
