Where to start on ancestry work?

Post Body

Hi hi all! I used the search bar first and noticed no one has posted about ancestry (explicitly) in several months. I’m looking for good places to start working on connecting with my ancestors- specifically my maternal and paternal grandparents. My maternal grandmother passed away in spring 2020 (I fully believe her kind soul saw the pandemic and was like “hell no! See ya losers”) peacefully and I’m wanting to connect with her first.

Additionally, my aunt has a terminal bone cancer currently and while I do my best to call and connect with her while she’s here, I want to be ready for when she crosses over.

Any best practices with offerings, connecting with the deserved, or tips y’all have to share?? Thank you in advance for your kindness!
