Hey everyone! I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed on Wednesday morning (4/26/23). I am about 6 days post-op today (5/1/23) and I’m having some concerns. Overall, the swelling and discomfort has continued to decrease for the past few days. However, my left side is still stiff and has some soreness, which I know is normal. In addition to that though, I have been having a really bad taste in my mouth since Saturday, and it almost feels like that taste is coming from the lower left extraction site. I’ve been following all of the aftercare directions to a tee, but I’m still nervous that I’m developing an infection or something. This morning, my saliva has a minor yellow tint to it which is concerning, as I believe I may be tasting pus or something coming from the site. I might call the dentist later (I feel dumb because I already called on Saturday) but this is really stressing me out and I’m wondering if anyone else has had this experience? Every time I Google it, it says it’s infection or dry socket symptoms, but I’m hoping this could be part of the regular healing process as well. Thanks!
