My Story:
I remember it first coming out in 2004, but between being a guy — it was seen as a girl show — and my parents already banning me from watching/reading Harry Potter because “witchcraft,” I never actually followed it.
Fast forward to 2021, I discovered Netflix is making a live action; I remembered always wanting to watch Winx, so I got nostalgic, watched the live and devoured all eight seasons plus World of Winx.
In a way I’m glad I didn’t watch it as a kid since it allowed me to watch for the first time older and more informed about the different dubs, orders, etc, but ngl, I would have been obsessed had I watched it as a kid. Then again, between the time gaps and company changes, I might have also stopped watching after seasons 3 or 4.
