Transition to Smartthings is painless.

Post Body

To start, this is not just a "fuck wink post" but I'd like to convey how easy it is to move over from Wink to Smartthings. I got a 3rd Gen Smartthings hub from Best buy in store. I'd delete devices from Wink then they'd add right away to the new hub. Rinse and repeat for each room. Works great even with the GE Link bulbs that my link hub came with. Other Z wave devices link painlessly as well. If you are looking for an alternative, I'd recommend Smartthings whole heartedly as the WiFi on the hub is very robust and each device checks in real time. I even found the range to be much better than my Wink Hub 2. Samsung's track record for keeping up to date with Google's API is much better. The hub is only around $60 USD as well.
