Hi all! Iām a sommelier in a non-tip environment and have only always worked in a high hourly wage non-tipped environment. Iām looking at moving and trying to get a better understand of other pay environments for sommeliers.
Iām curious to know about those of you who work in other pay categories. For those who are hourly plus commission, do you feel your hourly rate is low and what is your commission?
Are there any salary floor somms out there?
For transparency, I make $17.50/hour as a floor sommelier in a small city with moderate cost of living in the southeast United States.
