23 year old in Michigan here. The position is basically me going to several stores (supermarket type) and stocking wine for their company. The first 6 or so months is a base salary of $37,500 including $300 a month for gas. I don’t make commission until later which goes to 2.75 percent. I remember asking average commission is and it’s 1,200 every 4 months.
They did explain that during the holidays it gets very busy, even to the point that I’d be working 60 hour weeks.
What do you think? My goal is to work a few years and advance to become a certified somm but it seems like I’m entering into a career that might not be super promising. This is me being younger and possibly “entitled” so please be honest.
