Getting Across the Border

Hey folks - looking for a bit of advice/any tips.
I’m flying to Windsor tomorrow with Detroit being my final destination. Last time I did this I took a taxi across the border but I found it outrageously expensive. Is there any way to request an Uber driver with a passport? I tried to order one last time, and when he found out I was going across the border he cancelled the ride. Any suggestions? If not - I guess I’ll just taxi again. Thanks!
